PFAS in Drinking Water: A Grassroots Perspective Webinar

March 19 @ 12:00 pm - 1:00 pm

Over the past few years, millions of people living in this country have found out that the water coming out of their tap was unsafe to drink, and likely has been for years. PFAS is a man-made group of over 4,000 chemicals found in common products such as Teflon pans, microwave popcorn bags, and fire-fighting foams. Wherever they were manufactured and used, there are highly contaminated communities. Join us to learn more about PFAS in drinking water, hear a personal story of community organizing in Portsmouth, NH and learn how grassroots groups around the country are working together for proactive national change. Our speakers are Andrea Amico, co-founder of the Testing for Pease community action group in Portsmouth, NH and Shaina Kasper, Vermont and New Hampshire State Director of the Toxics Action Center. This webinar is hosted by the Center for Health, Environment & Justice.

This call is free and open to all. Register today!
