Public Meeting with EPA on Housatonic River Cleanup
December 3 @ 5:30 pm - 8:30 pm
The General Electric Company (GE) polluted the Berkshires, including the Housatonic River, with PCBs for years before the toxics were banned by the EPA.
Now, GE is required to clean up its mess, but important decisions—including where the toxic waste should go—are taking place behind closed doors. Next week, you have the chance to make your voice heard.
Our friends at the Berkshire Environmental Action Team (BEAT) fought hard to include public participation in this process. Come learn more and tell the EPA what you want to see in the cleanup process.
