Claire Müller is a queer, white, 15th generation Bay Stater. They are the Lead Community Organizer and Climate Justice Director at Toxics Action Center. In that role, Claire provides organizing support, facilitation and training to more than thirty grassroots groups teaching community leaders to plan winning campaigns, hone their message and materials, build their group, fundraise, garner media attention and more. Claire is a founder and co-coordinator of the statewide coalition of more than 150 groups Mass Power Forward working to further climate justice policy and foster local clean energy campaigns. Prior to Toxics Action Center, they worked with Green Corps, the field school for environmental organizing. There, Claire directed grassroots field campaigns on behalf of the Sierra Club, Missourians for Cleaner Cheaper Energy, Environment Texas, Corporate Accountability International, 1Sky and Food & Water Watch. Claire graduated from Oberlin College, majoring in Environmental Studies and Politics. In their free time, Claire gardens, reads, and other introverted activities. Claire lives in Jamaica Plain, Massachusetts with their partner and dog.
